Roomwork is a full project and team operations platform, built in-house by Paying.co and powered by Rōrk, its built-in AI assistant. Instead of learning a new tool, you just ask in plain language what needs your attention — Rōrk filters by due date, status, project, or assignee, counts things up, opens a task by name, and holds the thread across follow-up questions.

Clock in and out and see your hours at a glance — total logged all-time, and this week's hours against a weekly cap if one's set. Admins get a full team view split into a Summary (hours rolled up by project, task, and session) and an Admin & Edit tab with custom date ranges, a Decimal/Clock toggle, CSV/Excel/PDF export, and inline corrections that require a reason. Every correction is logged — who made it, what changed, why — visible in that entry's own history.

▦ Boards — Grid and Kanban

Any board switches between a spreadsheet-style Grid and a column-based Kanban view. Add tasks straight from the toolbar, set WIP limits per column (it turns red once you're over), drag cards between columns to change status, and select multiple tasks at once to bulk reassign, change status, or delete — with honest partial-failure handling if a bulk action doesn't fully complete.

💬 Rooms

Every project gets a persistent, project-scoped Room. @mention someone and they're emailed if they miss it. Message anyone directly four different ways. Discuss a task straight from its edit form, or turn any message into a task with an AI-suggested title. Paste screenshots directly into the composer, use triple-backtick code blocks, and search across every room's messages at once — not just the one you're in. Type / alone for a full shortcut list: /catchup, /week, /waiting for instant answers, /doc to spin up a Canvas document, /task, /files, /assign, /meet, /capsule for self-destructing secrets, and /invite for admins.

🎥 Jams

Quick audio or video calls without leaving the Room they belong to — the messages, tasks, and files they're about are already right there. Active-speaker and screen-share spotlight automatically, everyone else sits in a strip alongside it, and the call stays open in a floating window while you keep working elsewhere in Roomwork.

🛡 Flaw.co Detect & Code — security scanning, built in

Roomwork connects directly to flaw.co, Paying.co's security scanning platform, right from inside a Room. Run /scan to kick off a passive or active security scan against a linked project, /code to trigger a code-level review, and /refresh to pull the latest findings — no context-switching to a separate dashboard. It's the same engineering philosophy behind everything Paying.co ships: security and payments infrastructure expertise, wired directly into the tools teams already work in.

⌥ GitHub-linked projects

A linked repository turns ordinary development activity into visible project history automatically. See recent commits in the Activity tab, ask Rōrk plain-language questions like "what did we ship recently," and turn a Room discussion into a GitHub ticket with /create. Projects can track multiple branches at once for repos with release lines that don't merge back to main.

▤ Canvas

A lightweight, project-scoped file and document store. Search across every project you can see, or browse one project's files from its Room. Create plain-text documents right inside Roomwork with /doc — title, then write, autosaving as you go, no formatting toolbar in the way. Images and videos preview inline without a download.

Every Room has its own bookmark list, separate from Canvas and from your personal Scratchpad. Paste a URL and an optional note, or just ask Rōrk to save or find one — "save this to the Foundry room," "which room has the Stripe engineering blog."

🔔 Alerts & reminders

Get notified when a task's status, comments, or assignee changes. Watch a task to follow it closely even on view-only boards. Set a reminder on any task or message and it resurfaces through the bell exactly when you need it.

📌 Message actions

Pin a message to a Room for everyone to see, or — for admins — pin it to the dashboard as an org-wide announcement. Set a reminder window (24 hours to a month), save a message alongside your pinned prompts, or copy a direct link to that exact point in a conversation.

📝 Scratchpad

A private, personal notes space that follows you across every device — separate from Rōrk entirely. Roomwork's AI never reads or writes it.

🗂 Chats

Every conversation with Rōrk is saved and automatically titled from what you actually asked, kept separate from Board queries and guided flows so the list stays meaningful.

⚙ Admin tools

Create or delete projects, manage board member roles, build task templates that seed an entire project in one step, route Upwork proposal alerts straight into a Room, invite and manage people, and control per-project budgets and time caps — including separate hour and dollar tracking with per-person cap periods (weekly, monthly, or custom range).

🌐 Bilingual by design
