Industries We Serve

Built for the operators of unattended commerce.

Wherever a card meets a machine, our engineering shows up. Vending, parking, EV charging, petroleum, car washes, and the retail and hospitality venues that depend on payment hardware to keep moving. Five core verticals where payment complexity, hardware diversity, and certification demands converge — plus the adjacent industries we serve every day.

Vending

From MDB to telemetry, vending is where unattended payments started — and where the operational pressure is highest. We build the software behind cashless terminals, route transactions through the major processors, and handle the certification path from EMV L3 to PCI MPoC.

Vending operators face a unique combination of constraints: thousands of distributed endpoints, intermittent connectivity, tight margins per transaction, and aging cashless hardware in need of modernization. The card reader has to authorize quickly, fall back gracefully, and report to the operator without burning data.

Our engagement model spans the full stack: MDB cashless protocol implementations, processor integrations across TSYS, Fiserv, Worldpay, and Heartland, EMV Level 3 certification for vending-grade contactless readers, and the operations layer that turns transaction data into telemetry, refunds, and route optimization. When operators need a custom Android-based reader for a specific machine type, we ship it end-to-end.

Parking

Pay stations, gated lots, surface lots, mobile pay flows — parking is a payment vertical that hides in plain sight, and the engineering rigor required is significantly higher than most operators expect. We've built end-to-end software for parking operations from gated equipment to citation reconciliation.

Parking payment hardware lives outside, takes weather abuse, and has to function across short-stay transactions, monthly passes, validation flows, and license-plate-driven authorization. The pay station has to read a card or accept a tap, authorize fast enough that the customer doesn't tap twice, settle the night's batch reliably, and feed citation and pass-management systems with clean data.

Our team handles outdoor-rated PCI compliance, EMV L3 certifications on parking-specific hardware (including IPS Group readers and similar), processor integrations to all major acquirers, and the back-end APIs that handle revenue control, citation enforcement, and monthly account reconciliation.

EV Charging

EV charging is the newest unattended vertical and the most regulated. New federal mandates require open-protocol payment terminals at every public charger, and the certification work is non-trivial. We've been engineering for this category since well before the mandates landed.

The challenge with EV charging payments is the multi-state authorization model: pre-auth at session start, partial settlements during the session, final capture at unplug — all coordinated across charger hardware, network operators, and the payment processor. Latency tolerance is low because session windows matter to the driver. Hardware tends to be outdoor, ruggedized, and tap-first.

Our work covers contactless and Tap-to-Pay certifications for charger-integrated readers, partial-capture transaction flows that match real charging session economics, integration with major CPO platforms, and the SoftPOS and embedded payment patterns that newer chargers are starting to adopt for cost reduction.

Petroleum

Pay-at-the-pump is the original unattended payment vertical and still the most certification-heavy. Outdoor terminals, fuel-specific authorization flows, EMV mandates that started later than retail and continue evolving — petroleum is a category where the technical and regulatory rigor never lets up.

Petroleum payment certifications are different from any other vertical because they layer fuel-specific transaction logic (pre-auth followed by final-dollar-amount capture, with mid-fuel cancellation handling) on top of standard EMV. The terminals are outdoor-rated, tamper-monitored, and frequently span multiple brands and acquirer relationships across a single operator's network.

Our team has shipped EMV L3 certifications on Ingenico iSelf, Wayne, and Gilbarco hardware against the major petroleum processors. We handle rescue engagements where a previous vendor stalled, build multi-acquirer routing for operators with mixed brand portfolios, and run full pre-cert FIME / ICC suites in-house before submitting for formal lab approval.

Car Washes

Subscription-driven, tunnel-style operators have transformed car washes into one of the fastest-growing unattended payment verticals. The economics depend on tight membership management, recurring billing, and fast pay-at-entry hardware. We build the payment layer that powers it.

Modern car wash payments combine three distinct flows: pay-at-entry for one-time customers (with tap or chip), license-plate recognition for monthly members (with no card present at all), and the back-office recurring billing that keeps memberships current. Each flow has its own certification, fraud, and reconciliation needs.

Our engagements include EMV L3 for entry-lane hardware, recurring billing infrastructure that handles card updaters, dunning, and dispute management, integration with the major car wash POS platforms, and the tokenization and account-on-file systems that let plate-detected vehicles roll through without slowing down.

Adjacent Verticals

Retail, Hospitality & Entertainment

Beyond the five core unattended verticals, our team also serves retail, hospitality, and entertainment venues that share the same underlying payment engineering needs — certification work, processor integration, custom development on Android and embedded platforms.

Retail & Point of Sale — Custom payment terminal software, EMV certifications, multi-acquirer integration, Clover-native apps, and PCI compliance for traditional retail and modern POS deployments.

Grocery — Self-checkout payment integration, scan-and-go flows, age-verification handoff, and the in-line refund and exchange flows specific to grocery and pharmacy operations.

Sporting & Entertainment Venues — Cashless venue rollouts, mobile ordering payment integration, kiosk-based concession payments, and the high-throughput batch operations that stadium-scale events demand. HoneyBee Kiosk has shipped here.
